Quantum Psychology provides a supportive, warm and empathetic environment in which our clients can feel secure, safe and relaxed.
Practitioner, Fiona Hird, has over twenty years’ experience in working with clients from an Emotionally Focused perspective. As a graduate in Psychology from Macquarie University, Fiona has developed ground-breaking techniques, allowing her to target specific issues and customise programs to the needs of the individual. Fiona works with clients perceptions and gently guides them towards learning more on how they can influence their life and their symptoms e.g. anxiety, sleep disturbance, depression, self esteem, anger and more. This automatically leads to increased knowledge and wisdom and a marked reduction in stress and physical symptoms.
Fiona integrates computerised bio-resonance technology into her practice. This technology allows Fiona to develop a further understanding of a client’s emotional experience whilst applying the latest advancements in neuropsychology and expanding her knowledge on neuroplasticity, both growing areas of interest in the field of psychology.
Previously, Fiona has worked on a specialised recruitment project with the Australian Government (Department of Defence) and in the Media Department with corporate advertising agencies (George Patterson and DDB Needham).
Fiona is a Clinical Supervisor at the Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy, mentoring students and facilitating their learning in the Graduate Diploma/ Certificate level of Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Fiona is on the Academic Board for the Banskia Institute of Australia which the Institute of Emotionally Focused Counselling is a part of.
Fiona is part of the NCCP (National Carers Counselling Program) with Carers NSW. Fiona enjoys working with carers, who often experience compassionate burnout due to continual caring of a loved one and who find themselves now needing time to be listened to about their experiences, needs, desires and changes to their lives since becoming a carer.
Fiona works with AccessEAP which assists employees towards better mental health.
