About Fiona Gilholme-Hird
Fiona Gilholme-Hird is a trauma-informed practitioner and the creator of The Self Regulation Project’s Five Step Model of Perception ©, a groundbreaking framework that helps individuals understand how perception, subconscious belief systems, and emotional responses are formed — and how they can be transformed.
With a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University, and postgraduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Relational Psychotherapy, Fiona brings depth, clarity, and attunement to her work. Her approach is centred on helping clients explore the subconscious filters and emotional cues that shape their inner world — often without conscious awareness.
This process helps reduce emotional reactivity, increase self-understanding, and restore a sense of agency. Over time, clients begin to shift long-held patterns, reconnect with their core values, and move through life with greater ease and clarity.
Â
🔬 Integrating Technology and Neuroscience
Fiona integrates her understanding of neuropsychology, interpersonal neurobiology, and the science of neuroplasticity to create lasting, meaningful change. Her work is supported by the use of computerised bio-resonance technology, which offers deeper insight into a client’s emotional patterns and nervous system responses.
This personalised, science-informed approach allows for more accurate emotional mapping and support — helping clients move beyond surface-level coping and into deeper regulation and integration.
Â
🧩 A Background in Human Behaviour
Fiona also draws from her extensive experience in the corporate sector, where she developed a strong understanding of communication, emotional pressure, and human behaviour in high-performance environments. This experience now informs her work with clients who are navigating stress, burnout, leadership challenges, and relationship dynamics.
